Welcome Break

Celebrating 65 years of Welcome Break

This year, Welcome Break turns 65, and we want you to be part of the celebration.

From our very first service area to our 60th location, our journey has been shaped by the incredible people who’ve worked with us over the decades. As we mark this milestone, we’re collecting stories, memories, and reflections from team members past and present — especially those connected to our first site, Newport Pagnell.

Whether you were with us for a summer job, a decade-long career, or anything in between, we’d love to hear your story. Your experiences are part of our history, and we want to celebrate them.

Share Your Story

Use the form below to tell us about your time at Welcome Break. You can include:

Memorable moments or milestones
Friendships and funny stories
Photos or keepsakes (if you have them!)
What working at Welcome Break meant to you

We may feature your story as part of our 65th anniversary celebrations — online, in print, at our service areas.

Thank you for being part of our journey. We can’t wait to hear from you.

You're invited!

To celebrate Welcome Break's 65th birthday, we're throwing a party! Join us at Newport Pagnell from 13th - 15th August for face painting, live music, goodies to be won and more.

Friends of the Cancer Centre

Our Applegreen sites in Northern Ireland support Friends of the Cancer Centre. For 35 years, Friends of the Cancer Centre has been dedicated to making a real and meaningful difference to cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland.

The charity aims to enhance the quality of support and patient care through funding additional nurses, supporting local research and providing practical support, such as financial grants, which help families through difficult periods of time.
