Training and Development
We want all of our team members to reach their full potential and to succeed, whether that is within their current role, or within a future role.
Every member of the Welcome Break team is empowered to develop both themselves and their career, and there is a wide variety of support available to those considering training and development.
E-Learning Platform
In 2023, we launched a new e-learning platform. The platform provides a gamified approach to training that keeps our team engaged, motivated, and at the forefront of industry knowledge. New training courses are launched each month and are shared amongst our teams and are accessible on PC and smartphone.
Apprenticeships
We are proud to offer apprenticeships in a wide variety of areas across our business. Our apprenticeships offer in-depth training, opportunities for career progression, and qualifications, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
In 2024, 58 of our team members were in the process of completing an apprenticeship.
"Leading a Team" and "Leading a Business" Programmes
We encourage team members at all levels of the business to apply for, and enrol on to, or “Leading a Team” and “Leading a Business” programmes.
We are very proud that, in 2023, a total of 328 team members were enrolled onto, and completed, our “Leading a Team” Programme, and 150 team members were enrolled onto, and completed, our “Leading a Business” programme.
Internal Promotions and Opportunities
Internal development and mobility continue to be an important focus for Welcome Break as a business. In 2024, for example, 370 of our team members were internally promoted.
