Wider Commitments to the Community

Throughout the year, we participate in a number of other charitable activities, including, but not limited to, food bank collections and subsequent donations, the donations of books to local schools for World Book Day, fundraising for The Poppy Appeal, and the donation of Easter Eggs to communities in need.

Welcome Break recognises the importance of community engagement and social responsibility. In 2024, in alignment with our commitment to make a positive impact on society, we implemented Volunteering Policies which aim to encourage and facilitate our team members’ active participation in volunteer activities.

We have run a variety of initiatives and established a variety of partnerships to further support our customers and their wellbeing.

For example, throughout 2022, a partnership was maintained with North Northamptonshire Council to provide resources to support the physical and mental wellbeing of HGV drivers.

More recently, in April 2024, we collaborated with Essex & Herts Air Ambulance clinical team to run a large-scale public CPR training session at South Mimms MSA. This training session was held as a part of “Restart a Heart Day”.
