Supporting the Southport Strong Together Appeal
Our charity partner, National Emergencies Trust, are helping to raise awareness of the local Southport Strong Together Appeal.
Led by the Community Foundation for Merseyside in partnership with Sefton Council and Sefton CVS, National Emergencies Trust are helping to raise awareness of the local Southport Strong Together Appeal.
National Emergencies Trust is an independent charity dedicated to responding to UK disasters and was launched by its Royal Patron His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales in November 2019. Within as little as 4 hours of a national emergency taking place, National Emergencies Trust will launch a nationwide fundraising appeal to ensure those affected receive financial aid as soon as they need it.
Aligning with our charity initiatives, for every £1 donated to the Welcome Break Charitable Fund, 65p is donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, 30p is donated to local community projects in and around the area of each Welcome Break site and 5p is donated to the National Emergencies Trust.
The Welcome Break Charitable Fund was established to support both local and national charitable projects through fundraising and volunteering efforts. We recognise the importance of supporting a charity who will provide support and assistance to those who need it the most, in the event of emergencies and unexpected crises.
Southport Strong Together Appeal
If you are looking to support those affected by the knife attack in Southport on 29th July, the most effective way you can help is to give money to support the local relief effort.
While the National Emergencies Trust is not launching a nationwide fundraising appeal at this time, we are helping to raise awareness of the local Southport Strong Together Appeal led by the Community Foundation for Merseyside in partnership with Sefton Council and Sefton CVS.
